Brainspotting Therapy: Help When Your Client Has Hit a Wall
Gentle, neuroscience-based processing that complements therapy, bodywork, and medical care.
What Is Brainspotting?
Brainspotting is a focused, gentle method that helps the brain and body process unresolved stress, trauma, and emotional blocks—so you can finally feel and function the way you’re meant to.
By using eye position to locate where unprocessed experiences are stored, Brainspotting accesses deep brain regions that traditional talk-based methods can’t reach.
No endless talking.
No reliving trauma.
Just a calm, natural release that allows your system to reset.
Ideal for clients already working in therapy, chiropractic, or coaching who feel stuck despite progress.
Why It Works
Most approaches try to think or talk through what’s happening.
But your body holds on until it feels safe to let go.
Brainspotting helps the nervous system complete that unfinished process—freeing the energy that’s been stuck in stress, tension, or over-control.
The result?
You don’t have to force confidence or clarity anymore— they start to happen on their own.
A Powerful Complement to Other Care
Brainspotting works beautifully alongside other healing and growth tools—never in competition.
It’s often used concurrently with:
Therapy, to accelerate emotional processing between sessions.
Chiropractic or bodywork, to calm stored tension that keeps reappearing.
Coaching or performance work, to remove inner resistance to action.
Medical care, to reduce anxiety or stress patterns affecting recovery.
Many of my clients are referred by therapists, chiropractors, and physicians who see that the nervous system itself needs support, not just the mind or body.
What Providers Are Saying
“As a therapist, I refer clients to Jennie when we’ve reached a plateau and the block feels somatic rather than cognitive. They return lighter, calmer, and ready to move.”
— K.S.
"I truly cannot say enough about how incredible Jenny has been—both for me personally and for my business. Working with her has been absolutely transformative. Jenny is consistent, kind, thoughtful, and knows exactly how to challenge you in the best possible way. She meets me where I’m at—emotionally and professionally—and consistently offers grounded, compassionate support. She has a gift for helping quiet that negative inner voice and replacing it with what’s true and helpful. I highly, highly recommend Jenny to anyone looking for accountability, growth, and genuine encouragement. Whatever life throws your way, she’s the one you want in your corner."
— A.M. LCSW
Dr. Stephanie Best, Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Stephanie Best is a practice owner in Charleston, SC. She's both worked with me personally and referred clients for Brainspotting.
"Because of Jennie's coaching and Brainspotting, my practice income has nearly doubled, and my clients are progressing faster. I now refer clients for adjunctive Brainspotting whenever I sense a block that feels deeper than talk therapy can reach."

For Referred Clients
Your therapist, chiropractor, or healthcare provider referred you here because they recognize that something in your nervous system needs direct support.
You've been doing the work. You've gained insight. You understand the patterns.
But something still hesitates. That freeze response that won't budge. The tension that keeps returning. The self-doubt that resists logic.
That hesitation isn't failure. It's a protective reflex in your nervous system that can be cleared, not forced.
That's where Brainspotting comes in.
-
We'll talk briefly about what's been feeling stuck or overwhelming, then locate a point in your visual field connected to where your body is holding that tension.
From there, I'll gently guide you through processing—no reliving trauma, no analyzing, no forcing.
Most clients describe it as surprisingly calming and natural, often noticing emotional or physical relief during or shortly after the session.
-
Not at all.
Most clients work with me alongside their current therapist, chiropractor, or other provider.
Brainspotting supports the work you're already doing by helping your nervous system process what your mind and body already understand.
Think of it as giving your progress more space to stick—not replacing the care you already have.
-
Brainspotting is often called "Brainspotting Therapy," but in my practice, it's offered within a coaching framework—not psychotherapy or counseling.
I'm a certified Brainspotting Practitioner and coach, not a licensed therapist.
Our work is focused on emotional regulation, performance blocks, and personal growth—not diagnosis or treatment of mental health conditions.
-
Most referred clients see me for a short series of 1–3 sessions to address a specific block or issue.
Once that resolves, many feel complete and return fully to their ongoing care.
Others discover that as the first layer clears, new goals or deeper patterns surface—and they choose to continue working with me to process those next layers.
You're always in control of the pace and duration. We'll decide together what feels right for where you are.
-
Not at all.
Brainspotting actually enhances other modalities.
Many clients notice that after a few sessions, their therapy feels deeper and their bodywork lasts longer—because the nervous system isn't fighting the change anymore.
-
That's up to you.
If your therapist or doctor wants to coordinate care, I'm happy to provide brief updates or collaborate—but only with your written permission.
You're in full control of your privacy and your process.
-
Simply find a quiet, distraction-free space with a reliable internet connection, put on some comfortable clothes, and have a water bottle nearby.
Before we start, I'll send you instructions and a link to the bilateral beats music—play it on your phone or computer and use headphones to get the full benefit.
Finally, keep your calendar within reach so we can lock in any follow-up sessions before we finish.
Quick checklist:
Quiet, private space where you won't be interrupted
Reliable internet connection
Headphones (for bilateral beats music)
Comfortable clothing
Water bottle
Your calendar handy
-

Additional sessions are $200 each if you choose to continue addressing other issues or goals.

For Professionals & Referrals
I regularly collaborate with therapists, chiropractors, and other wellness professionals who want their clients to experience deeper, faster breakthroughs.
Brainspotting offers a gentle, adjunctive process that supports your work — without disrupting the therapeutic or treatment relationship you’ve already built.
-
Most referrals come from providers who have a highly engaged, insight-oriented client — someone who shows up, does the work, and has already made progress but keeps hitting an invisible wall.
Often, there’s:
A recent stressor or trauma that hasn’t fully resolved
Lingering self-doubt that resists logic.
Physical tension that returns despite bodywork
Freeze responses that block forward movement
You’ve addressed the thoughts, explored the patterns, and built awareness — but something in their nervous system still doesn’t believe it’s safe to move forward.
That’s where Brainspotting fits beautifully. It helps release the body’s protective “brake” so the progress you’ve already built together can finally take hold and grow.

I'm a certified Brainspotting Practitioner and coach with a background in emergency medicine (20 years as a paramedic) and business strategy.
Important distinction: I'm not a licensed therapist or counselor. Brainspotting with me is offered within a coaching framework—focused on emotional regulation, performance blocks, and personal growth, not diagnosis or treatment of mental health conditions.
Geography: Because this is coaching-based (not therapy), I can work with clients across all US states and internationally via secure online sessions.
Communication: All email communication is HIPAA-compliant. With client consent, I provide concise, professional updates that respect confidentiality boundaries.
-
No. Brainspotting with me is designed to enhance, not replace, ongoing therapeutic or medical work.
Clients don't "graduate" from your care to work with me—they often come for a short series of sessions to clear a specific block and then return to you with renewed capacity for growth.
Many clients continue seeing their therapist, chiropractor, or physician concurrently. Others take a short Brainspotting break (usually 1–3 sessions) before resuming regular treatment with greater openness and progress.
-
Absolutely. Brainspotting often works best when used concurrently with other modalities.
It can accelerate emotional processing, increase body awareness, and make other treatments more effective by calming the nervous system's protective response.
-
I always refer out or collaborate when deeper therapeutic care is needed. I know my scope and maintain a network of trusted mental health professionals for appropriate referrals.
If I notice something during our work that would benefit from therapeutic intervention, I'll communicate this to you (with client consent) and ensure proper coordination of care.
-
Yes. If you'd like to talk about whether Brainspotting might be appropriate for a specific client situation, I'm happy to schedule a brief professional consultation.
-
With written client consent, I'm happy to provide notes or coordinate care as appropriate.
I keep communication concise, professional, and always within confidentiality boundaries.
-
All sessions are conducted virtually via secure video platform, allowing for flexible scheduling and cross-state collaboration.
-
Sessions are private pay. I don't bill insurance, and because this qualifies as coaching, most insurance companies will not reimburse for my services.
Some HSA/FSA programs will allow for reimbursement of coaching-based Brainspotting—clients can check with their plan administrator.
-
Absolutely. I welcome collaboration with therapists, chiropractors, physicians, and wellness providers who value integrated care.
If you'd like to talk about how we can mutually support each other or how your practice or clients can benefit from Brainspotting, please reach out.
